For remote viewing this app works great. Its fairly intuitive in that respect. My problems are all related to playback. Even though Amcrest was thoughtful enough to add hour and minute selection to the playback search they are useless. Playback always starts on the hour. It wouldnt be a big deal if the scroll bar wasnt as finicky as it is. I can scroll to a specific time and as soon as I lift my thumb the time will jump 5-10 minutes. There is also no playback speed control, so you just have to watch in realtime until you get to the event youre searching for. If you want to watch it again you have to go through the same thing.
Easy to use app for views of all four security cameras at my rental property.
Cant use features on the app. Customer service replies to emails saying someone will follow up, never happens besides a follow up saying someone will follow up. Live record feature doesnt work. Also Amcrest does not work with Macs. (No playback option)
Installed the system and it works fine connected via HDMI, but iPhone app is very unstable even when connected by wireless. Obviously Im not the only one reporting this yet no updates to software since Nov 15. Software also has a few other annoying bugs. U get what u pay for, I suppose.
I love the system but it would be nice if it didnt crash every time I try to view a single camera on remote viewing. Multiple camera view works fine but I have to keep uninstalling/reinstalling every time I do single camera. People have been complaining since November from what I see in these reviews. How about a fix so we can get what we paid for??
Not sure why the rating is so low. People need to make sure they are downloading the right app. It works perfectly. So easy and great options to view the cameras. No complaints.
Constantly crashes when I try to scan the QR code and does not establish a connection even when I enter the code manually.
Bought the 960H 4-channel amcrest video security system. After installing all the cameras and hooking the recording unit to my router. Configuring the app was a breeze. Just press on add new device. Connect mode should be the default (P2P). Scan the QR code located on the amcrest box or you can find it in the on screen menu. Once its connect you can remotely watch the cameras anywhere you have a decent internet connection. 4G seems to be good enough.
No complaints. This app is next to my other apps on my phone front page.
Its an easy to use app. But the user experience is a bit clunky. Also there is a bug that when trying to record video it crashes.

We use this for our horse farm to keep tabs on the horses and for barn security. I had it on my iPhone 5 and it worked fine. I recently got an iPhone 6s Plus and it wouldnt work. I just restored my old phone to the new and it works! Very pleased! Love this app! We havent used it much for playback yet. That is a little cumbersome, but great to have at least.
The QR code works well, however no matter what configuration it says login failed

Login failed over and over and over again. The material send with the system was no help in trying to troubleshoot the problem. Where are the updates on this app? And connecting remotely through the web is a joke to set up. Way too complicated.
App is currently useless as it will not allow me to login and connect to my device. All of the setup information has been entered correctly but all I get is an error message stating login failed. Worthless as of now.
Just finished the P2P install. Lots of bad reviews here but I havent had any problems. I had to go into network settings and change a couple things and check a box to enable remote viewing. Then download the Amcrest Link App not the Amcrest View app and voila! Watching my home from my iPhone right now!! Sup!
Ive been using the app for two weeks now with I issues. I saw bad reviews and wanted to give it sometime and so far so good. It was easy to set up using a helpful YouTube video.
